Marcos Arroyo

PhD Student at QML-CVC

About me

I studied Physics at the Complutense University of Madrid and completed a Master’s in Quantum Computing at Universidad Nebrija, focusing on software and algorithmic aspects of quantum computing. My master’s thesis, “Generative Modelling with Parameterized IQP Circuits,” was done in collaboration with Eurecat. I also interned at the Fraunhofer Institute in Kaiserslautern, where I worked on quantum and hybrid algorithms for quantum system dynamics. I have recently started a PhD at CVC in QML, focusing on quantum generative models and the use of quantum- inspired techniques within the framework.

Research Stays

  • Eurecat. 204-. I am part of the program supporting PhD students at Eurecat.
  • Fraunhofer Institute. I worked as an intern for about a year and a half. Specifically in the Fraunhofer office in Kaiserslautern where they have a High-Performance Computing group with several lines in Quantum Computing. as part of the practices, I carried out a small research project focused on algorithms, both quantum and hybrid for the dynamics of quantum systems. 2023-2024.
